100 YEARS LATER, THE FAMILY’S BACK !!

Dalrymple Construction Ltd returned to Kirkcaldy flour mill company, Robert Hutchison Ltd, to refurbish the roofs of 2 No. Grade B Listed Wheat Bin Buildings, 100 years after the company’s present management’s grandfather left their employment.  Dalrymple Construction Ltd are today involved in the careful dismantling of the partially collapsed Wheat Bin roofs and the structural reinstatement of same followed by the re-cladding of the roofs with conventional slate and new Metaslate cladding, all under the auspicious direction of Historic Scotland and the local planning authorities.

In 2010, the grandchildren aspire to receive the accolade given by Robert Hutchison Ltd to their grandfather in his letter of reference dated 11 April 1910 – see below.
